What is a reform ladder?

It is not for nothing that this ladder is called ‘reform’. It means that it can reform. That is the central concept of this ladder. Therefore, it is literally a reform ladder. You can put the ladder into a wide variety of different forms allowing it to be used in many situations. If you want to put the ladder against the wall and have support from another wall, you can use it in the upright position. If you want to use the ladder free-standing, you can put it into the A-shape. The height you can reach depends on the choice of length. 2-part reform ladder

The two-section ladder can be set up in two positions. You can use it as a push-up ladder and thus use its entire length. You can also put it down as an A-stand and use it free-standing in several places. The two-section ladder can be folded together very compactly and is therefore easy to carry and store. The 2×10 and 2×12 version is the most frequently used as most heights can be reached with these lengths. If another size works better for you, this is always a good option.

3-part reform ladder

The three-section variant has three ladder sections that work together seamlessly. This ladder can also be set in the A position and thus be free-standing. The three-section version is not only in the A position, but you can also work higher because a third ladder section is attached. This makes it multifunctional and highly suitable for professional use. Popular sizes are 3×8, 3×9, 3×10 and 3×12. The ideal length for you depends entirely on the height you need to reach.

How do you put the extension ladder into the desired positions?

We start with the A-stand. The first thing to do is to put the ladder on the ground with the stability bar. Push the top ladder up by one step, and then push the middle ladder up. The catch is then released from the step. Pull the middle ladder slightly towards you, so the step no longer hovers above the ground, and set the middle ladder on the ground. The ladder comes with a pin, and this pin should be at the height of the notch. This is done by pushing both parts upwards. The notch is in the bottom ladder. Both it and the pin bolt are on either side of the ladder. Take care, as the pin-bolts and notches can fall out. Next, pull the two parts of the ladder towards you so that the webbing is tightened. This webbing will be under tension so that the ladder stands firm.

The A-position is not complicated, and once you have done it, you will know how to get the ladder into the other position. Of course, it is wise to read the manual before using the ladder.
